Grandparents Day 2008
Cary Christian School
Fifth Annual Grandparents’ Day
Friday, May 2, 2008
CCS Grandparents’ Day is a special time to honor and show appreciation to our grandparents. Many of them support PTF events, the benefit auction, and assist in the classrooms. A great number of them pray faithfully for the school. They also support the school financially. Did you know that grandparents contributed a substantial amount of money toward the purchase of the piano in the foyer and the pickup truck used for maintenance at our campus? They were also instrumental in providing funds to complete the bell tower.
To honor our grandparents on May 2, we will treat them to morning refreshments in the gymnasium where they can fellowship with other grandparents before enjoying the class presentations (see itinerary below for the day’s schedule). The gymnasium and auditorium will be bustling with activity in the morning as each K-5 class performs. Beginning at 1:00 p.m., students in grades 3-8 will perform musical concerts in the gymnasium and auditorium.
For your convenience, you may order a Chick-fil-A lunch for grandparents/parents to eat with the children on campus. Order forms are being sent home with CCS students. They are also available at the front desk of Cary Christian School. Students who have already placed their pizza order through the school lunch program will be able to join their grandparent(s)/parent(s) for lunch.
