Parent Perspective: An Eternal Value – We are so thankful for what God is doing at Cary Christian. As we focus our efforts on developing meaningful teacher-student relationships and strong parent-teacher partnerships, our prayer is that there would be transformational moments happening in our building every day. We are thankful for our parents, staff, faculty, and students who make this such a beautiful community.
First Grade students enjoyed learning more about our great state on North Carolina Day!
The Raleigh Knights played their first Lacrosse game as a combined team! The team represents athletes from both CCS and GRACE Christian School. Go Knights!
Third Graders celebrated the wonderful, powerful, ridiculousness of love, hope, and forgiveness as they marked the conclusion of A Tale of Despereaux and feasted on soup, which is now legal in the Kingdom of Dor.
Three of our CCS families ran into each other in Park City, Utah while on Spring Break!

Friday, March 24 – Parent/Teacher Conferences & Teacher Workday – If you would like to request a conference with your child’s teacher, please sign up for a timeslot through your Veracross Parent Portal. The morning is set aside for professional development for teachers, and conferences will begin at 10:40 A.M.
Thursday, March 30 – Donuts with Dads – All Lower School dads are invited to enjoy Duck Donuts with their Kindergarten – Fifth Grade student(s) at the Pavilion. Coffee and milk will also be provided.

Protocol – SAVE THE DATE! – Protocol is a long-standing tradition for Rhetoric Juniors and Seniors. The event this year will be held on Saturday, April 22, at 7:00 P.M. Signups will open on Tuesday, April 4, and will close on Tuesday, April 11. Parents, you will register your student through your Veracross Parent Portal. As you register, you are agreeing to the behavior and attire expectations. For more details on the venue and attire, please click here.

Tuesday, March 21 – Career Connection Day – We are looking forward to having parents and alumni come and share their college and occupation experiences with us and how God has been present in their lives. The Rhetoric School will be attending this event during their Seminar Classes.

College Pennants – Seniors, it is time for college pennants! It is your turn to decorate the outside of Ms. Smith’s office with the college, technical school, career, military, or gap year program that you are planning. The first day for pennants to go up is Thursday, March 23, during the senior special snack. If you know where you are attending or what you will be doing, start designing your pennant! Pick up your blank pennant from Ms. McGinnis. We are so proud of each of our seniors. We cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for each one of them and how He will use their gifts and talents.
Arts
CCS 2023 Concert Choir Homecoming Concert – The Chamber Choir is thrilled for their Homecoming Concert to be the final performance of their choir tour that has taken place throughout Orlando and St. Augustine, Florida! The choir will be performing a variety of acapella, spiritual, classical, sacred, contemporary, and patriotic songs. All members of the CCS community are invited! This concert will allow the choir and their audience to close the tour on a warm and joyous note. The concert is free of charge, but you will want to arrive early because seating is limited. We hope to see you there!

The Southern Teachers Agency Calendar Art Contest – Students in Grades 8-12 are invited to enter this contest! Details about the contest can be found at – Southern Teachers Agency – Student Art Contest. Winning artists will receive five copies of the calendar as well as $100 in gift certificates for art supplies! This contest is limited to 10 entries, and there are currently 5 open spots. Please email Mrs. Blanchard at mblanchard@carychristianschool.org if you would like to enter! Artwork needs to be turned in no later than March 27.
