Corporate Membership Renewal

Corporate Membership Renewal – It is time to re-affirm Corporate Membership for 2023! Please click here to complete the form by October 24.

CCS Corporate Membership must be renewed each year on a calendar basis. You are being asked to re-affirm your commitment and partnership.  There are several updates to the Statement on Christian Values that we ask you to review. The Corporate Membership draft will take place on November 1 for the 2023 calendar year.

Wednesday, October 19 – 1st Quarter Report Cards Posted to Veracross – Report cards will be posted by 3:30 P.M. on your Veracross Parent Portal. If you have a question please reach out to your child’s teacher (first initial-last name@carychristianschool.org, eg. gwashington@carychristianschool.org)

 

Thursday, October 20 – Kindergarten Pumpkin Patch – We are so excited for this on-campus field trip.

Friday, October 21 – NO CLASSES: Parent/Teacher Conferences & Teacher Workday – Please sign up for a parent/teacher conference through your Veracross Parent Portal. Due to professional development, conferences begin at 10:40 A.M.

 

Friday, October 21 – Blood Drive – Please join us for our annual blood drive in the gym, hosted by the Community Connections Club and Red Cross Club. If you donate blood, you will receive a $5 e-gift card for the merchant of your choice. Click here to sign up for a time slot! If you have any questions, please reach out to Seniors, Nicholas Andrews or Mia Perkins. Donors must be 16 years of age or older.

PSAT/NMSQT Exam Score– We had a great administration of the PSAT yesterday.  Results are typically available online the second week of December. More details will come in a few months.

Calling All Artists and Writers!

If you are interested in submitting your writing or artwork for the 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, please see these link for more information on categories and submission guidelines. Writing is due December 6. Artwork is due December 15.

Athletics

 

Winter Sports Tryout Information: 

Monday, October 17 – Varsity NCISAA Playoffs Begin – There is a gate fee of $7 per adult for ALL spectators, including parents if we are playing at home. Students and children are free. Please bring cash. 

 

Monday, October 17 – Thursday, October 21 – Logic School Uniform Return – All Logic School soccer, field hockey, and volleyball players must turn in their uniform this next week. Students won’t be eligible to try out for winter sports or participate in the Basketball Open Gym until all fall uniform pieces have been returned. There will be a table during lunch at the pavilion. Items won’t be accepted at the Athletic Office. Please bring them during lunch time to the Pavilion.

 

Wednesday, October 19 – Basketball Open Gyms Begins – Middle school boys will be after school on 10/19, 10/24, and 10/26. Middle school girls will be after school on 10/20, 10/25, and 10/27. Varsity and JV Girls and Boys should contact Coach Shane Scott or Coach Bill Thompson for options.

 

Saturday, October 22  Swim Team Swimsuit Discount Day – Our team suits are $35 at All American Swim in Cary.  We have a new suit pattern this year! Please reach out to Chris Raughley if you have any questions, chrisraughley@gmail.com. There will be another Discount Swimsuit day in November for swimmers who will not know whether they are swimming until the first week of practice.

Congratulations to Our Men’s and Women’s Varsity Cross Country Teams – They have been named Capital City Conference Champions! Burke White was Men’s overall champion. Burke White, Evan Callery, James Callahan, Conner Mahan, and Eian Holmes were named All-Conference Winners. Women’s All-Conference winners were Ryann Aycock, Tori Stonebraker, Demi Nicholas, Sadie Gerolemon, Rylie Estep, and Mollie Crouch.

Parent Resources
