You are being asked to re-affirm your commitment and partnership. There are several updates to the Statement on Christian Values that we ask you to review. The Corporate Membership draft will take place on November 1 for the 2023 calendar year. Students will not be able to re-enroll in December/January if you do not complete your corporate membership renewal!

Friday, October 28 – Lost and Found – Come and look for lost items between 9:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. on the K-2 Playground/3-5 Carpool line. Any items left will be donated or discarded. If you would like to volunteer to help facilitate the lost & found process, please contact Ellen Wentz.

 

Thursday, November 3, at 6:00 P.M. – Fall Open House – We are excited to invite prospective families to our campus! Please invite your friends, family, and neighbors and bring them to join us for an opportunity to meet teachers and administrators. They can register on our website.

Wednesday, November 9 – 4th Grade Assembly – This is a special time for our fourth graders to take the stage and share what they have been learning. Parents, please join us for a reception in the classroom after the assembly.

Friday, November 11 – Movie Night – Come join us for a family Movie Night. We will watch Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Enjoy complimentary popcorn, and a food truck to provide hot beverages! Bring your family picnic and a blanket or two to enjoy a fun movie, dine-in experience! Pray for good weather! If you are able to help, please click here to see where we still need volunteers!

Order Retake & Class Pictures – There is still time to order pictures! Click here to order your child’s class picture and use the School ID Code. Lifetouch is also kindly offering Cary Christian School students, faculty, or staff a few opportunities for anyone who may have missed yesterday’s Retake Day and still need an Individual Picture taken for School Yearbook or Ordering a Picture Package. Lifetouch will have a few make-up days for Underclass Individual Photos at their local studio. 951 Aviation Parkway, Suite 600 / Morrisville, NC 27560. First come first served basis, no appointment necessary. If anyone is interested and has questions, they should contact Lifetouch studio at (919)377-0026. CCS Class GroupPicture Day ID: EVT3C2D8R; Individual RetakePicture Day ID: EVTK8K6XS.

Annual Golf Classic Thank You – Our 22nd Annual Golf Tournament was a spirit-filled day of fun and fellowship!  Golfers gathered and enjoyed the amazing weather while connecting with community partners and celebrating our school.  A huge thank you goes out to all our amazing sponsors, donors, and volunteers–we couldn’t have done it without all of you. 

 

SSP Donations – “Coats for the Cold” – Remember to bring in your gently used or new winter clothing. Our Seniors are excited to bless the people of Newport, Tennessee, this winter! Donation collections happen each Friday between now and Thanksgiving!

Prayer Button on Portals – The Parents in Prayer group have worked with Admin to include a Prayer Button on both the Parent and Staff Portals to allow members of our community to submit prayer requests for these parents to pray over! We are excited about creating an even stronger community around the power of prayer and would encourage you to submit your requests as well as attend the prayer meet-ups which are by grade-level. Note: these requests will not be shared broadly; they will be submitted to the Parents in Prayer coordinators.

Rhetoric School Clubs – Our students and faculty have worked hard to develop over 30 clubs for our Rhetoric School! Please click here to see what clubs we offer and learn a little about them. Since the Club Fair, we have added a new club: the Youth and Government Club. This is a national club that includes competitions and neat opportunities for our students. As Christian students, it is very important to understand and be involved in the government and politics. The YMCA Youth and Government Program is a fantastic way to introduce our students to this important arena.

College Counseling

 

October 28, Friday – AP “Exam-Only” Registration Deadline – There are 2 steps to registering for the AP “Exam-Only” Tests.  Click here to access the AP-Exam joining codes.

    1. Students must register for AP Exams on their College Board account.
    2. Students or parents must pay the $100 through Veracross Pay.

Students who are in AP Classes at CCS (AP Biology, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Physics) are already registered and have paid for the corresponding AP Exam.  No further action is needed from students in our AP Classes.

 

Friday, October 28 – Dual Credit Registration Deadline TOMORROW – Juniors and Seniors can receive dual credit for certain classes they are already taking. Register through Colorado Christian University.  

  

Monday, November 7 – Deadline to Apply for the Governor’s School – Juniors, are you interested in the NC Governor’s School? You have about a week to apply for a CCS nomination for Governor’s School of North Carolina. Sophomores, if this intrigues you, there are limited opportunities in dance, choral music, and instrumental music for Sophomores.  Please click here for more information.

Winter Sports Tryout Information: 

Note: New Swim Team Location and Time – If you cannot make practice due to these changes, do not panic. We will find a time to fill you in on any missed information. We do not expect families to miss church to attend practice Sunday. Please feel free to reach out to Coach Raughley.
