Tuesday, February 1 – Lower School Convocation – In the month of February, we will be focusing on the biblical characteristic of kindness. Our goal is to behave in a way that honors God and shows kindness to each other. We should show kindness because God has been kind to us, and He calls us to love others the way He has loved us. “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32

Friday, February 4 – Kindergarten Field Trip to the Dentist – The Kindergarten classes are looking forward to their fieldtrip to The Smiling Turtle Pediatric dentist. As part of our study of community helpers, Dr. Banakus will show the Kindergarteners the importance of her job as a dentist and how to help keep teeth strong and healthy. The students have enjoyed learning about our community and the many ways that people work to help others.
Friday, February 4 – Worship Night – Come out and enjoy a time of worship led by our Rhetoric School Worship Team. The theme this quarter is the Holy Spirit and our guest speaker is CCS parent, Otniel Hernandez..

Tuesday, February 8 – Firm Foundation – Firm Foundation is for CCS parents who want to dig deeper into the world of classical, Christian education. Parents are encouraged to come to our monthly meeting, where we will hear CCS guest speakers, read and discuss several books related to our mission (e.g., Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning, Repairing the Ruins, etc.), and help build community among fellow parents. Click here to learn more! This week Mr. Hinton will be leading the discussion.

Registration Open for the 2nd Annual Crucible Challenge – This epic event will be held on Friday, April 1 (check-in 4:30 P.M. at the Pavilion). In tandem with this event, we will host our 1st Annual Iron Knight 5K (check-in 3:30 P.M. at Bond Park)! Click here to register.
Knights Go Green – Our Upper School Students have established a recycling initiative within our school. Every classroom has a recycling bin, and the students are so excited to encourage their fellow students to care for the creation God has given to us. These bins are for paper and empty drink containers only. Please feel free to check out this video that they put together last year when they launched the initiative.

Wednesday, February 2 – Senior Parent Meeting & SSP Convocation – Senior Parents, we would like to see at least one parent from each family join us. Come learn about what you you can expect for your child’s final semester here at Cary Christian School. College Counseling
Saturday, February 26 – ACT Practice Test - CCS is offering a practice ACT Test through Compass Test Prep. The test will be held at Cary Christian on Saturday, February 26 from 9:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. This is open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Parents, you will receive a score report within 2 weeks. Registration closes Friday, February 4. To register, complete these two steps:

- Click here to sign up for the ACT Practice Test through the Compass Test Prep website.
Junior Student/Parent/College Counselor Meetings – You may book these meetings using Calendly (click here). Note: Meetings scheduled after school will only be done by Zoom. Meetings scheduled during the day will have the option of being in person and/or virtual. In preparation for the Junior Student/Parent/College Counselor Meeting, students need to complete the Rising Senior Survey and parents need to complete the Parent Brag Sheet.
