Sacramental Moments

Our Seniors had a great time serving together in Newport, Tennessee on their Senior Service Practicum. They impacted so many ministries and had an amazing opportunity to encourage and bless each other!

CONGRATULATIONS to our Senior athletes who have committed to playing collegiately (Sarah Callery, Megan Hagan, Hensley Miller, and Marshall Moody). We are so excited to see how God uses them to further His Kingdom.

The Logic School Computer Programming Elective shared their semester projects with the Grammar School students. We are so thankful to be in one building where our older students can engage with our younger students!

2021-2022 Yearbooks for Sale – Yearbooks for this year can be ordered online at Jostens.com. There is a link on the Parent Portals on Veracross. The current price is $45.00, but it will go up soon, so you need to act quickly to get it before the price increases.

2022-2023 Applications Open – God has been so kind to CCS with bringing us 837 wonderful students – record enrollment for our school’s history. You may think it’s too early to think about enrolling siblings for next August, but we encourage you to apply now! There are two ways to access the application; go to your Parent Portal on Veracross and there is a tab on the left that says “Apply to CCS” or go to the CCS website where you will see the “Apply Now” button on the home page.

  • As we look at this current school year, seven of our grades have waiting pools. Many of the students placed in waiting pools for this year will roll over into the waiting pools for next year.
  • We anticipate another year with many more applicants than we have seats for children.
  • With the current number of applications for 2022-2023, we anticipate a waiting pool for Kindergarten next year.
  • Each year, approximately 50% of our rising Kindergarteners come from current CCS families. We would not want to see a current CCS family placed in the waiting pool because they didn’t get their application in early. So please, get those applications in now.

Why do you need to hear this? As you think about or talk with friends or family members about when you or they should apply for their children, we ask that you encourage all to apply early.

College Counseling

Junior College Counseling – Ms. Smith met with Juniors on Monday and Wednesday in their Rhetoric Classes. Students completed a few more surveys that may be useful in identifying strengths, personality, and potential career options. They also conducted college research based on some potential majors and careers. Parents, be sure to ask your students about this!

Monday, December 6 – PSAT Results Available for Sophomores and Juniors – Students will receive an access code emailed to the email address that you reported to College Board on the PSAT answer sheet. If you didn’t give an email address, then you can create a new account or access your existing College Board account to access your scores. We recommend you print out a copy of your score report and carefully review it. Parents and students can learn about the score reports at www.SAT.org/scoresdemo. Ms. Smith handed back the PSAT test booklets to Juniors yesterday and will distribute them to Sophomores on Tuesday. These booklets can be very helpful as students review their score reports and look back at questions that they missed. Please use the booklets and score reports to do your own “test corrections.” Juniors, if you want to know about National Merit qualifying scores, please go to www.nationalmerit.org.
