Upper School students spent time last week writing Easter cards to bring joy to those spending the day in a nursing home. Thank you to Bella Segnere and the Body of Believers Club for organizing this opportunity to serve and love on those in our community.

Our teachers felt so loved last week on Teacher Appreciation Day! Thank you to everyone who brought flowers, made cards, and provided food for our beloved teachers.

Thursday, April 13 – Senior Thesis Presentations Begin – Senior Thesis Presentations will begin on April 13 and will continue until April 27. We invite all CCS families to come support and celebrate our Senior students in this academic achievement. Thesis presentations are held in the Theater. Friday, April 14 – Lower School Convocation – For the month of April, Lower School students will be focusing on the biblical character trait of faithfulness. The Bible says God does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17) and that He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). God is faithful. We can trust His faithfulness. We are faithful to God when we obey His commandments and choose to do what is right. We can show faithfulness to others by being a good friend.

Saturday, April 15 – Taylor Anne Foundation 7K Race/Walk and Family Fun Run – Come join us wherever you are to run, walk, skip, or jump in honor of the beautiful life of Taylor Anne. Proceeds from this run/walk will go to the Taylor Anne Foundation, which is a non-profit, set up to continue to shine her light while raising awareness and funds to support pediatric cancer research. Friday, April 21 – Parents in Prayer – Parents of Lower School students are invited to join prayer meetings throughout the Fourth Quarter that will foster community with one another as we intercede for our CCS family. There is no need to RSVP!

Friday, April 28 – Lower School Grandparents’ Day – The Lower School is looking forward to welcoming grandparents and special guests to our campus to share a glimpse of our excellent classical education founded upon a biblical worldview.

    • Parking: All open parking spots, including the numbered and lettered spots, will be available for use that day. If overflow parking is needed, shuttles will be running to and from Peace Presbyterian Church.

SAVE THE DATE – Concert Under the Stars – A Night on Broadway: Celebrating the Classics – Cary Christian School Choral & Instrumental Arts proudly presents an exciting evening of song and performance featuring a selection of timeless Broadway hits! This evening will showcase the talent and hard work of our Upper School Choral and Band students. From the golden age of musical theater to today’s modern shows, this evening of music will bring to life the romance and drama of songs from popular shows and beloved musicals. Lawn chairs, blankets and picnics are welcome at this outdoor event! So, join us on the lawn to get swept away in the grandeur of Broadway. It’s sure to be an evening to remember!

Wake County “I Voted Early” Sticker Design Contest – Calling all 5th-11th Graders! Wake County is looking for a new Early Voting Sticker Design to use in the 2024 Primary and General Elections (and beyond!). Submit your design by May 31 by following the instructions here!
