In Loving Memory of Taylor Burns Huston

Taylor Anne Burns Huston went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer. She was born in Dallas, TX on April 23, 2015. Taylor brought light and love every where she went. Her smile sparkled, her eyes twinkled, her curls bounced as she danced through life, showing her love for others and spreading joy. Taylor wanted to be a ballerina violinist when she grew up. In addition to dancing, she enjoyed baking, painting, running, singing, all things Disney but most of all the Lord. Taylor’s faith was inspiring. She was baptized a few months back and we know that she is hugging Jesus as she dances and giggles in Heaven.

Taylor leaves behind her parents, Brian and Rachel Huston; her step-sister, Allison Huston and half-brother, Matthew Huston in addition to numerous family members around the country. Taylor was loved by so many and will be forever missed.

A visitation will be held on August 11th from 2:30-4:30 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, NC. A celebration of her life will be held on August 12th starting at 3:30 at Triangle Community Church in Apex, NC. Taylor loved all colors and instead of black, we believe she would have wanted her celebration to be more cheery and request more colorful attire.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you consider donating to one of the following organizations in Taylor’s honor to help find a cure: Taylor‘s Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation memorial page or Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BrownWynneCary.com for the Burns Huston family.

On Friday evening, our school community will honor Taylor at the 7pm Varsity football scrimmage.  Each football player will wear a colored wristband, representing Taylor’s love for “all colors of the rainbow”, and fans in attendance are encouraged to wear brightly colored clothes!  A donation will be collected for those who choose to participate.  Please either bring cash or scan the QR code at the bell tower to donate electronically to foundations near and dear to the Burns Huston family.
