A Prayer for the Class of 2025
Dear God, we pray that you would give our graduates wisdom and direction in making decisions, and in each new situation and journey you have for them now. Teach them to listen closely to your voice, that they would have a heart to obey your Word and have a desire to make the right choices. We pray that these we love so much would walk faithfully and diligently in all your ways. We ask that you would make their footsteps firm, that your Word would be a constant lamp for their feet and a light to their path. May they sense the freshness of your Spirit over their lives in amazing ways, and may they be strengthened, instilled with hope, for the new roads you have in store. We ask for your wisdom and clear direction over their lives, that you would give them understanding beyond their years. We ask for you to open doors that need to be opened and close every one that should be shut tight. Allow every gift and treasure you have placed inside their lives to grow, develop, and flourish to bring you glory.

TONIGHT! – Thursday, May 8 – Senior Thesis Encore Night – You will hear four of our seniors speak on a variety of relevant and challenging biblical and cultural subjects. Each presentation will last 5-10 minutes followed by a 10-15 minute period of dialogue as they answer questions from audience members. We are especially excited to welcome CCS alumni back to campus to take part in this event – this time, from the other side of the podium!

Saturday, May 10 – A Salute to America – One Nation, Under God – Spring Fine Arts Concert – The Choral and Instrumental Arts Department invites the CCS community and friends to attend our annual end-of-year concert. You will not want to miss this exciting evening of music celebrating our Nation, our Armed Forces, and First Responders and their families who have sacrificed so much serving as patriots for our country. This concert features a variety of patriotic classics and original music that tells the story about our country through witness and song. We will showcase our Rhetoric and Logic School choirs and bands together in this musical tribute to our great nation.

- Reserved Seating: Senior families and their guests have reserved seats on the gym floor, per their RSVP. No physical tickets are required.
- Parking: Seniors, Senior parents and invited guests may park on campus.
- Off-Campus Parking: All staff, faculty, and student drivers (except Seniors) are to park at Bethel Baptist Church (1111 W Chatham Street, Cary). Shuttles will run for staff and students before school and after school. Limited shuttles at lunch.
- All 9th, 10th, and 11th Graders –
- These students will sit with their teacher and class in the bleachers, except for siblings of a Senior who may join their family’s seating.
- Pack a lunch or place an order from My HotLunchbox. Juniors will not have the opportunity to drive off campus for lunch on this day.
- This is a Dress Uniform event.
- Logic School and Lower School students are not invited to attend, except if a brother or sister of a Senior is checked out with front desk to attend and sit with their Senior family. The absence should be submitted in the Parent Portal.

Thursday, May 15 – Class of 2025 Commencement Seat Reservations – We are looking forward to honoring the Class of 2025 at our Commencement Ceremony! Limited General Admission Seating is available and requires a ticket for entry. Reserved General Admission tickets will be available for pick up in the lobby of CCS on Monday, May 12 – Wednesday, May 14. If you have any questions, contact Ellen Wentz.

Friday, May 16 – Last Day of After-School Care – There will be no after-school care the week of May 19-23.
Tuesday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 21 – Lost & Found – This will be our last Lost & Found of the school year…but don’t wait until the last minute – start looking NOW for any misplaced items. Each week, campus-wide items are consolidated in the K-2 stairwell. If you cannot find your belongings in the hallway or gym bins, check the K-2 stairwell anytime. On May 20 and May 21, families may look for lost items between 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. under the West Canopy (the side of the building closest to the baseball field). Any unclaimed items will be donated or discarded. If you have any questions, contact Ellen Wentz.

2024-2025 Yearbooks – If you missed ordering a yearbook, we may end up with extras to sell. We will not have that information for a few weeks, so watch for an update in The Knightly News regarding purchasing one if we have extras to sell.
Lower School (K-5th)
– IMPORTANT DATES –
TOMORROW! – Friday, May 9 – Grade 5 – Wax Museum – As a culmination of our history curriculum, each student will dress up and present a brief speech about the life of a famous American, ranging from the early Puritans up to the Founding Fathers. We would love for parents to stop in and see the presentations.

Friday, May 16 – Kindergarten Caps for Dads – This program is just for Kindergarten students and their dads. Each class will present a short play, Bible memory verse, and song.

Tuesday, May 20, Field Day – Field Day (EARLY RELEASE for K-5th Graders ONLY)– See ParentSquare for opportunities to get involved! We are thankful for parent volunteers who help make this day possible. Due to construction and limited parking spots, we ask that parent volunteers park at and carpool from Peace Presbyterian Church (1777 W Chatham St, Cary). Park at the back of the lot near the basketball courts. There will be no CCS bus shuttles running. No K-5 After-School Care is available this day.
Thursday, May 22 – Kindergarten – End-of-Year Program and Last Day of School – Dress Uniform Required – Students will present a program in the theater followed by individual awards in the classrooms. At the conclusion of the classroom awards, students are released for the summer!

Friday, May 23 – Grades 1-5 End-of-Year Assemblies and Last Day of School – Dress Uniform Required. – We hope parents will join us for a time to celebrate the year and honor the accomplishments of our students. Following their assembly, students are released for the summer!

College Counseling
– IMPORTANT DATES –
TODAY through Friday, May 23, 2025 – AP Exams – Bring your own charged laptop. If you have questions about what AP Exams you are taking, check your College Board Account. Use this link to see the locations, times, and reminders. Individual emails will be sent to students for each exam. Veracross attendance has already been documented as excused, however, communicate with your teachers.

Parents, do not order My Hot Lunch for your student if they have a noon AP Exam. They will need to bring lunch on those days.

AP Scores – Students must log onto their College Board account to see their scores which will be available in early July. Students (especially Seniors) who want their AP Exam Scores sent free to colleges may request a free send by June 20. Scores requested after June 20 have a fee attached.
Senior Final Transcripts – Final Transcripts for Seniors will be sent in early June to the school where the student is matriculating as indicated in Scoir. Ms. McGinnis will also mail a copy to each Senior to keep in his/her records.
