A Prayer for Our Students as They Apply to Colleges

On Wednesday, CCS hosted a College Fair with 20+ colleges and universities sharing about their programs with our Rhetoric School students. This time of year, we also host College Visits with representatives, occurring during two to three lunch hours per week in the Commons Area. We pray these opportunities help guide our students toward their next steps after CCS.

Lord, we pray that you will be in every detail of the application process, including helping our students meet their deadlines. Guide these students as they fill out the applications to be able to express themselves well so that those reviewing their applications will see their potential. Encourage them to be patient and trusting as they await admission decisions. Most of all, help our students to trust in your promise: “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (Jeremiah 29:11). Give them a bigger idea of the kinds of plans you have for each of their futures. Amen. (by Karen Barber, adapted)
