A Prayer for Homecoming

Let the spirit of Christ reign in our hearts today and make us glad when we can all be together. We pray for the relationships that are made through our time at Cary Christian School and that this will always be a place to foster community that impacts the Kingdom of God. May we cling to a strong sense of unity from our experiences shared on this campus. Give us an assurance that life goes on and is good, and the knowledge that our fellowship in you can never be broken, regardless of how far we roam or what we do.

If your child is absent on the day you’ve ordered lunch, email Jackie Stump, Upper School Receptionist, by 10:30 a.m. to have it diverted to a sibling or another child of your choice. If you do not make arrangements before this time, the lunch will be given to fulfill a need somewhere in the school. For more information and FAQs, click here.

– ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to Our 2024 CLT Regional Scholar Award Recipients and Our CLT Distinguished Scholar! – We are delighted to announce that five CCS students have received recognition from the Classic Learning Test for their outstanding performance on the CLT-10, a college preparatory exam and PSAT alternative. CLT Regional Scholar designation recognizes students who scored in the top 5% of their geographic region on the CLT-10 as a freshman or sophomore during the 2023-2024 academic year.

2024 CLT Regional Scholars

  • Raynn Clement, 2024 CLT Distinguished Scholar*
  • Carley Mou
  • David Nicolau
  • Alanna Simpson

*The Distinguished Scholar designation recognizes the student who earned the top CLT10 score at their school as a freshman or sophomore that same year. These are outstanding accomplishments as thousands of students take the CLT exam each year.

No Jordan Driving School/Fall Break Driver Education – CCS will not be hosting a driver education course with Jordan Driving School during Fall Break due to Jordan’s shortage of driving instructors and a predicted 5-month lag time from the end of class instruction to the beginning of behind-the-wheel training. Instead, we are working on procuring other reputable local driving school options, which we would be comfortable suggesting to our families, that offer a faster completion process at a fair price. Stay tuned to The Knightly News and ParentSquare for more information coming soon!

Beginning after Fall Break – Collections for Senior Service Practicum (SSP) – Set aside ANY cold weather items (blankets, coats, hats, gloves/mittens of all sizes, new socks) that you wish to give away for our “Coats for the Cold” collection for our annual trip to Tennessee. These items should be gently used and freshly laundered then bagged. Walmart gift cards are also greatly appreciated for purchases being made for those we serve. Deliver your items, beginning after fall break, to these collection zones:

  • Grades K-5: Mr. Shane Tharrington’s security desk
  • Grades 6-12: Mrs. Diane Hillsgrove’s office
