Monday, August 2 – New Family Picnic – New Families, bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on our football field while we fellowship together. Dessert & drinks will be provided by Cary Christian.

Tuesday, August 3 – Meet the Teacher Day – Come drop off school supplies and meet your child’s teacher(s)! We are so excited to welcome you home! Uniforms not required. Kindergartners do not need to attend.

Job Openings – Substitute Teachers, Study Hall Teacher, & Art Teacher – We are seeking job candidates for our Substitute Teacher Call List, our Study Hall Elective, and Art Classes. We are always accepting applications for short term openings that may come available or in preparation for the upcoming school year. Monday, August 2 – Kindergarten Meet & Greet – We are excited to invite our Kindergarten families to come and enjoy a time of meeting their teachers and classmates. Parents will walk to the classrooms with their kindergartner, drop off their supplies, and then head to the playground for some fun!

Wednesday, August 4 – Kindergarten Kiss & Cry – Following drop-off, kindergarten parents are invited to join us for coffee, conversation, and to hear from Mr. Seitz, Dean of Academics. Give your little one a kiss at their classroom door, shed a few tears, then join us for a sweet time of first-day fellowship. (Tissues provided.)

Wednesday, August 4 – Senior Breakfast – Seniors will come early, park in their newly decorated parking spaces/be dropped off and gather for grab and go breakfast food/photo fun.

AP Exam Scores – If you took an AP Exam last May, your scores are available on College Board. Your transcripts will be updated with the appropriate GPA boosts, if applicable, in August.
College Seminar Elective for Seniors – Do you want assistance as you walk through the college application process and apply for scholarships? If yes, then this Tuesday/Thursday elective is for you! We need five more Seniors to sign up. Please follow the elective change procedure to request to be in the class. Description of the elective:

- Update your resume
- Work on the Common App (including the essay and individual college short essays)
- Second quarter, the focus will switch to finding and applying for scholarships.
- We also hope to host alumni speakers.
Elective Change Procedure – To change electives fill out the form found on the parent and student portals. Signed forms can be turned in, starting on Wednesday, August 4. The last day to request changes is Wednesday, August 18.

- August 2 – 3 – Women’s Varsity Tennis – Tryouts will be held at Godbold Park from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M.

Monday, August 2 – Athletic Physical Day – A group of medical professionals will be on campus to perform athletic physicals for our students. No appointment necessary. All athletes must have their physicals completed by August 3 to participate in tryouts. No cost. Parents remember to download, print, and bring the Pre-Participation Form from Magnus.
